Mphasis runs a four-section online test and then, on some campuses, a group discussion before the interviews. The GD is the stage students prepare least and lose most often, because it is scored on how you argue rather than on what you know.
4 rounds you can sit here, each gated behind the last, the way the real process gates them.
The 1 stage marked not simulated is part of Mphasis's real process, but not something a practice platform can honestly reproduce. It is described here so nothing on the day surprises you.
Four sections on one clock. The real paper's fourth section is Computer Programming rather than analytical reasoning; the coding round below is where we test that.
| Section | Questions | Time |
|---|---|---|
| Quantitative | 8 | 9 min |
| Logical Reasoning | 8 | 9 min |
| Verbal Ability | 8 | 9 min |
| Analytical Reasoning | 8 | 9 min |
Mphasis tests programming inside the online assessment rather than as a separate sitting. Three problems of increasing difficulty, each on its own timer, run against real test cases in a sandbox.
| Section | Questions | Time |
|---|---|---|
| Problem 1 — easy | 1 | 5 min |
| Problem 2 — medium | 1 | 7 min |
| Problem 3 — hard | 1 | 10 min |
Not every drive includes it, but where it does it eliminates people. It is scored on whether you enter the discussion early, build on what others said, and disagree without talking over anyone — none of which a solo simulation can score honestly. Practise with three or four classmates on a topic none of you prepared.

A spoken round built from your own resume — your projects, your stack, your decisions — with follow-ups based on what you actually say. Mphasis leans on fundamentals over puzzles: OOP, DBMS, OS basics and simple data structures, tied back to what you built.
| Section | Questions | Time |
|---|---|---|
| Project deep-dive | 4 | 10 min |
| CS fundamentals | 4 | 10 min |
The final conversation. Classic HR questions mixed with situational STAR ones — strengths and weaknesses, why Mphasis, handling pressure, willingness to relocate — scored on clarity, self-awareness and whether you gave a concrete example rather than a rehearsed one.
| Section | Questions | Time |
|---|---|---|
| Classic HR | 3 | 8 min |
| Situational / STAR | 3 | 7 min |
The first round is free and takes 36 minutes. You will know your score and your weakest section by the end of it.

The topics our question bank draws on for each section of this paper, most-used first. Every attempt serves a different set, so the topics repeat and the questions do not.
number systems, averages, mensuration, ratio and proportion, simple interest, problems on ages, percentages, profit and loss.
number series, ranking, seating arrangement, coding-decoding, clocks, calendars, direction sense, blood relations.
synonyms, antonyms, sentence complete, vocabulary, grammar, sentence correct, spelling, comprehension.
6 questions from the bank this simulation draws on, across the sections Mphasis actually tests, each with the worked solution — the method, not just the right letter.
4 rounds — Online Assessment, Coding Round, Technical Interview and HR Interview. 49 questions, about 93 minutes in total.
Round 1 (Online Assessment) is free — no card, no credits. The remaining 3 rounds unlock for Rs 99, down from Rs 199, once, with two attempts at every round.
Round 1 takes 36 minutes over 32 questions; all 4 rounds come to about 93 minutes. Rounds unlock one at a time, so you need not sit them together.
60%. Below that the simulation ends there, as the real process would. You keep the report for the round you sat.
Online Assessment, 4 separately timed sections. Quantitative — 8 questions in 9 min; Logical Reasoning — 8 questions in 9 min; Verbal Ability — 8 questions in 9 min; Analytical Reasoning — 8 questions in 9 min.
For Technical Interview and HR Interview, yes — the questions are generated from your own resume, so the projects you list are the projects you are asked about.
Each one runs that company's own hiring pattern, and Round 1 is free on all of them.
